Why would anyone want to travel to Africa on a cruise ship? Isn’t Africa the continent where you do safaris on land, travel through dense jungles, or experience real desert climates like nowhere else on earth? That may be the common belief but Africa has some of the most beautiful coastline in the world and with the addition of the Suez Canal you can actually sail all the way around it. Most Africa cruises begin in the Mediterranean and head south and east through the Suez Canal, passing Egypt and the land once known as Mesopotamia, where life on this planet is believed to have begun. These are not short or cheap cruises. The average Africa cruise lasts about three weeks and will cost close to a thousand pounds once all is said and done. If you’re looking for a cheaper cruise you might want to stay in the Mediterranean and do the Iberian Peninsula, Greece, and Italy. Once you pass through the Suez Canal you’ll find yourself on the East Coast in the Red Sea where you’ll pass through the Gulf of Aidan into the Indian Ocean. After you pass Somalia you’ll hit a popular port-of-call for cruise ships in Mombasa, Kenya. This fifteen square mile island has a cultural mix of both British and Arab people, products, and entertainment. A night spent here will be well worth it; a good break after traversing the dangerous waters of the Gulf. In the morning your cruise ship will be headed to Madagascar and then further south to Cape Town, where you’ll most likely disembark from this cruise to fly home or change ships to travel up the West Coast. Sounds breathtaking, doesn’t it? That’s just the East Coast cruise. Travel up the West Coast and experience the wonders of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, Mount Kilimanjaro, Port Elizabeth and Zanzibar Island. If you’re travelling north you can pass through the Straits of Gibraltar back into the Mediterranean and stop at Barcelona to get a taste of European civilization again. While you’re there you can think of some reasons why you’d want to take another cruise to Africa. You just can’t take it all in the first time.

Australia is the smallest continent and the largest island in the world. In terms of size, it is about as big as the 48 adjacent U.S.. Its 20.4 million people are generally saturated in the eastern and south-eastern coastal urban regions. This means that there are tremendous open spaces to explore in the remainder of the country, and this can often be done by car. Pretty coastlines, inland mountainous areas and verdant tropical forests with exotic plants and wild life are there for the traveler to discover.

A visitor with an international driving license or a valid American or European driving license in English can easily organise for a car rental at the airport or hotel. There are heaps of car hire companies offering different kinds of vehicles, from diverse makes and sizes of cars and SUVs to minivans, camper vans and RVs, minibuses, and 4WDs. There is a vehicle to suit any need or requirement. For instance, those who enjoy camping out can find campervans that will sleep up to 6 people, and come fitted out with a microwave, gas stove, griller and refrigerator. Deluxe models even have double beds, toilet and shower in addition to the mini-kitchen. If you are travelling in more rugged terrain, there are 4WDs. If you are travelling on a budget, there are economy compact cars and economy campers. There are also convertibles and luxury large cars.

Driving in Australia can be different from other countries: driving on the left side of the road, observing the different speed limits (in kilometres) and regulations in the States to be visited, checking weather and road conditions before travel, letting police know of travel plans if driving in rural areas, making way for the road trains (a semi-truck hauling 3 large trailers), etc. The car hire company will usually provide you with thorough information on driving rules and regulations, supplies to take (most importantly, plenty of water), what to do in case of emergency, potential dangers such as wildlife and driving at night, as well as accommodations, routes and resources on the road. Study and preparation in advance will insure a successful and enjoyable car vacation in Australia.

Leaders with about 30 years of experience in the field of tent manufacturing, Aztec offers the best tents in terms of aesthetic value and durability. Moreover, if you want something more than standard, they also design tents based on your specifications and requirement.

Aztec tents can be broadly classified as Pole Tents, Structures, Frame Tents and Custom made structures. Each category is unique in design, structure and usage. Aztec offers huge variations in each of these categories but there are a few favourites.

In the Pole Tent category, the ATC Canopy is widely used by many when organizing small parties. This tent is very robust and uses material that is fire resistant and hence the perfect choice for any garden party.

Similarly, the Tec Trac Structure offered by Aztec, given it’s easy to assemble and user friendly design is very popular for corporate meetings and trade shows.

Also there is nothing like the Standard Expandable, which as the name suggests is really flexible and can be extended to occupy any amount of space, given the flexibility of joints in the design. It is made of 16 oz vinyl fabric that is very sturdy and can be stretched beyond imagination.

Last but not the least, Aztec prides itself in delivering quality goods to its customers and specializes in tents designed to suit individual needs. Be it the traditional tent or a permanent tensile structure, Aztec tents are designed and manufactured such that they are reliable, durable and definitely pleasing to the eye.

Now that Min Bahadur Sherchan has successfully scaled the tallest mountain in the world, he is once again ready to focus on his family. Hall was frostbitten and severely disoriented due to altitude sickness. Bahadur Sherchan returned a hero to Calgarians. His first found him within 245 metres of the peak when his team stopped to help a fellow mountaineer who was left for dead. Three years later, Andrew Brash, a University of Calgary alumni, returned to Chomolungma to finish what he had started.

The Chinese were flying their airplanes over Mt Everest and had Chinese officials in Kathmandu. Indeed, the decision to actualize a long-time personal goal left Bahadur Sherchan with some internal uncertainties, he cited the political actions of China and Nepal as providing the greatest adversity he faced on his journey. This season Anthony Loeff the French alpinist is reporting the scales for Everest after reaching the top of Mont Blanc in France earlier this season.

The 76-year-old man from Nepal is now the oldest person to have reached the top of Chomolungma or Mount Everest. Andrew Brash last attempt resulted in the rescue of Lincoln Hall, an Australian climber who was left by his team in the “death zone.”

Min Bahadur Sherchan and four climbing guides reached the 29,035-foot (8,850-meters) summit of the world’s highest mountain early Sunday, said Ramesh Chretri, an official with Nepal’s ministry of tourism.

As he planned for the climb, Sherchan told reporters he wanted to inspire fellow senior citizens. He also said many Nepalese have established records on the Mount Everest, so it was only fitting that the record for the oldest climber to reach the summit should also belong to a Nepali. “The Chinese weren’t allowing anybody on the Mount Everest. They ended up commandeering it for themselves, even though Everest is shared by two countries. Sherchan just 19 days away from his 77th birthday beat the age record set last year by 71-year-old Japanese teacher Katsusuke Yanagisawa.

With the Chinese preparing for the impending summer Olympic Games, Min Bahadur Sherchan noted that the government’s actions hardly reflected the Olympic spirit. Further, he was all too aware of the potential dangers Chomolungma or Mount Everest could bring. Certain parts of the climb are more dangerous than others and it is important for climbers to remain focused Andrew Brash returned this week from Nepal after successfully climbing to the summit of Mount Everest. They basically coerced the Nepali government to not allow any climbers past camp two on the Nepali side. They flexed their muscles this year all the in name of the Olympic spirit, but it was hardly spirited at all.”

More than 2984 people have climbed to the summit since it was first conquered in 1953 by New Zealander Edmund Hillary, who died in January, and Nepal’s Tenzing Norgay.

Nepalese man, 77, oldest climber to conquer the peak of Mt Everest “Chomolungma this year became a political pawn,” he said with some frustration.
